Q — What is DeepOmics?
DeepOmics is an online information system for storing and querying data from environmental biotechnology processes, such as anaerobic digestion and activated sludge. It cross-references operational data (process design, operational parameters, physico-chemical monitoring) with meta-omic data on the microbial communities involved, to promote FAIR data and data reuse.

Q — I don't know how to use command lines. Can I use DeepOmics? (votre question existante)
Yes. DeepOmics is used entirely through your web browser: you store, browse and query data via the web interface, with no command-line skills required.

Q — Who can use DeepOmics, and how do I get an account?
Academic and research users can create a free account — through the Renater Federation if your institution is a member (most French universities and research institutes), or with an external account otherwise. If you are from the private sector, please contact us. (See the DeepOmics server page.)

Q — Is DeepOmics free?
Account creation is free for academic and research users. Private sector users are invited to contact the team to discuss access.

Q — What kind of data can I manage in DeepOmics?
Operational and physico-chemical monitoring data, together with meta-omic data on microbial communities, from laboratory reactors, pilots or full-scale plants. A module to handle shotgun metagenomics data is available, and a module to submit raw fastq sequences to the ENA is being developed.

Q — Is there a user community where I can exchange with others?
DeepOmics users are welcome to join our discussion room on Tchap, the French public administration's secure messaging platform. To request access, please contact us.

Q — In which languages is DeepOmics available?
DeepOmics interface is available in English.

Q — Who can see my projects?
DeepOmics distinguisges public projects from private ones. Public projects can be browsed in read-inly mode by any ligged-in user, while private projects are accessible only to the users who have veen granted access to them by the project coordinator or project users already having the access.
